Do you remember when you decided to start or buy a practice? You said: “I want to be my own boss. I want to build a profitable practice, take great care of patients, and enjoy work-life balance. What happened to that? Why so many of us, still years away from retirement are feeling burned out? Why so many of us now say: “Business is hard: I hate to manage people. I don’t know how to motivate employees…”
This is why I decided to look outside of dentistry for inspiration. I wanted to learn how great leaders act and inspire action and what lessons we can take from them and apply to our practices. In this presentation, I put together a checklist of best practices for achieving leadership and business excellence. I hope this checklist will help you Unlock your inner CEO and build the dental practice of your dreams.
About the Instructor:
For almost two decades, Dr. Gina Dorfman has continually proved herself to be an innovative leader in the field of dentistry. As a dentist, practice owner, and entrepreneur Dr. Dorfman has had the opportunity to engage with dental professionals across the country with the goal of helping them grow and thrive.
Dr. Dorfman graduated from the University of Southern California in 1996, earning a degree in Biochemistry. She completed her dental training at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry in 2000 and shortly after started her practice near Los Angeles, California.
While starting a practice in a saturated market came with its own challenges, the practice has grown tremendously over the years, expanding to several locations. Because of her experience running multiple practices and leading a big team, Dr. Dorfman has developed a unique insight into how efficient practices organize and operate and how dental teams can work together to overcome obstacles and reach their goals. A recognized speaker and author, Dr. Dorfman is regularly invited to teach other dentists around the country.
Her passion for creating systems and leveraging technology to streamline practice operations is what eventually led her to co-found YAPI, a robust dental practice automation software, where she is currently serving as the COO of the company.
