Case Acceptance and Treatment Planning Workshop
Event Details
Dr. Mark Costes will lecture on his unconventional approach to treatment plan acceptance. There is no shortage of coaches, trainers and consultants out there in the world today that have very strong opinions about the most effective way to get patients to say “yes” to proposed treatment. As dental practice owners we’ve all asked the following questions regarding treatment plan presentation: Who should be presenting the treatment plan? Where should the presentation take place? How long should it take? Is it best to use patient education software, models, pictures, sketches or verbal descriptions during the presentation? How clinical should we get with our explanations? How do we approach the topic of payment? Dr. Costes breaks down his take on these commonly asked questions.
Dr. Mark Costes is far from a typical dentist and dental coach. During his career, he has been able to start or acquire over a dozen successful dental practices during some of the profession’s most challenging times. Dr. Costes is the founder of the Dental Success Institute, a company committed to helping dentists to achieve their full potential, while recapturing their passion for dentistry. He is also the founder of the Horizon Schools of Dental Assisting which has experienced explosive growth and has expanded to over one hundred and eighty locations throughout the United States. Dr. Costes is the International and #1 Amazon Best Selling Author of the book Pillars of Dental Success. His internet radio show, The Dentalpreneur Podcast now has listenership from over 150 countries worldwide. Mark and his wife Leslie have three sons; Bryce, Brendan, Brady and their dog Bear. They live in Prescott, AZ.
Dr. Tim McNamara has been told by the industry’s best that he is 2% dentist and 98% business. It isn’t because he doesn’t love clinical dentistry, it is simply that he was built in the business world and got his DDS afterwards.
After graduating with a Finance degree, he spent the better part of the next decade consulting fortune 50 and 500 companies on business strategy and risk. This means Dr. Tim spent years in the boardroom of BILLION dollar companies helping them to link strategy with systems to crush their competition. Tim quickly reached personal and professional goals inside that industry which allowed him to shift his career aspirations. He chose to enter dentistry.
Since graduating 4 years ago, Dr. Tim has coached hundreds of dentists, consulted on 2 national DSO expansions, created and sold his consulting company, built one of the fastest growing acquisition clinics, one of the fastest growing startup clinics, the Dental Success Network, 10x Dental Partners and a host of other companies outside of dentistry. He is proof that hard work, strategy, and collaboration matter. When asked how he has accomplished so much in such a little time: “Identify your proverbial finish line and work backwards to clearly see the steps it will take to get there. If you can shortcut a step through outsourcing, consulting, or strategic alliance then your decision is one rooted in the price of time saved and additional revenue achieved by crossing the finish line earlier. The math is simple. Leap every time if it is in your favor.”
