Member Terms & Conditions

Dental Success Network terms and conditions apply for every member using interactive areas of this site and agrees to adhere to. These terms are in addition to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for the Website. By accessing the member space at DentalSuccessNetwork.com and the DSN Workplace powered by Meta, you agree to abide by these terms and the Terms of Use of the Website. 

Dental Success Network has assembled an incredible team of faculty, vendors, and members dedicated to changing how dentists communicate and learn with each other. We are opening our playbooks and giving away our systems that have taken years to fine-tune. You may, from time to time, find yourself in disagreement with someone else’s opinion. At times like these, it’s important to remember we’re all here to learn and grow with each other, and it’s ok to respectfully disagree without a burst of passion or indignation. 

By becoming a member of Dental Success Network, you agree that you will not post any of the following material in any of our message board communities or send to another community member (by personal delivery, mail, email, or otherwise) any communication that is intended to harass, belittle, humiliate, threaten in a physical, emotional, legal or economic nature, cause embarrassment to a fellow member or contradicts Dental Success Networks Honor Code. 

• Material that contains vulgar, obscene, or indecent language or images. 
• Material that defames, abuses, or threatens others, including but not limited to threats of instituting litigation against another member. 
• Statements that are bigoted, hateful, or racially offensive. 
• Material that advocates illegal activity or discusses illegal activities with the intent to commit them.
• Unauthorized copyrighted material. 
• Personal information of anyone (address, phone number, etc.) without their permission.
• Personal information of another user (name, address, phone number, picture, etc.) who may wish to remain anonymous. 
• Material that impedes or otherwise prohibits communication; disrupts the discussion, including, without limitation, using names that are offensive to the topic or the member and repeatedly posting off-topic messages in a topical message board. 
• Material and vendor discounts are confidential to Dental Success Network members and is not to be shared with non-members or vendors to help leverage spending power. 

You must know the Terms of Use for DentalSuccessNetwork.com and Workplace Etiquette as a member. Compliance is not an option but a site requirement. Ignorance of these rules and guidelines is not an excuse. 

Statements or postings that violate the above terms will be deleted upon discovery. While we may attempt to notify you if we move or delete a post, we are under no obligation to do so. Depending on the nature of the violation, at its sole discretion, Dental Success Network may suspend or terminate a member’s membership. account. 

Any political or religious posts must be posted in the “Safe Place” group. Any political or religious posts or threads posted elsewhere will be deleted. 

Threads that are started and turned into bashing, name-calling and racial slurs will have the whole thread deleted. 

Members can copy an x-ray or photo posted by another member if copied within the same thread and used as a tool when contributing to the discussion. However, copying other members’ x-rays or photos from one thread

into another thread is not allowed FOR ANY REASON without the permission of the member who originally posted them. Copying other members’ x-rays or photos for the sole purpose of demeaning (flaming) that person, or with malicious intent to degrade that member, or degrading the work depicted in said photo or x-ray is strictly prohibited. If we receive notification of a member violating this rule, the post containing the copied photos or x-rays will be deleted immediately, and this action could result in the cancellation of said membership. 

You are granted a limited nonexclusive license to use the information for personal and noncommercial use. Otherwise, you may not copy, store in an electronic form, modify, print, transmit, sell or transfer, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, frame in another web page, display, or in any way exploit any of the content, in whole or in part. Permission to reprint or electronically reproduce any materials is expressly prohibited without prior written consent from DSN Consultant IP, LLC. 

Dental Success Network provides a forum for dental professionals to share and exchange information. As we grow larger and our membership numbers increase, we have found that a small percentage of our new members are misusing DentalSuccessNetwork.com and the Workplace by sharing confidential documents, vendor discounts, and content with non-members or Non-DSN-preferred vendors. This is detrimental to our communities for various reasons. 

Threads started for selling, introducing, or talking about one’s product, company, or service will be removed unless posted in the Marketplace room on Workplace and Dental Success Network approves. Posts interjected into existing threads for the same purpose will be removed unless Dental Success Network approves. This being said, we do not want to inhibit the flow of good information, so if members pose a question about a product, company, or service, then of course, answers may be posted (within reason). At times there may be a fine line in the interpretation of what is helpful information and what is an attempt at “free advertising,” but the decision of the moderators and administrators is final, and no second-guessing of their decisions on the message boards will be permitted. If you disagree, contact the administration through email or private message. 

Within the body of a post, one may use links for educational purposes, such as scientific articles, an educational blog, or product information that is being requested. Please do not use links to outside Facebook groups or other dental forums, as we prefer to keep the discussion on DSN’s Workplace. We also encourage following the easy instructions in the Help Section to embed non-promotional videos. 

The Workplace Chat system is not used to contact other members to solicit business for one’s service or product. If a member asks in Workplace about a product or service, you may contact them via private message. However, it violates DSN’s guidelines to send unsolicited personal messages to any of our members to promote your company or a product or service. Please place “looking for a job”, “job opportunities”, and “personal items for sale or rent” in the “Safe Place” group. 

In the same regard, we allow the posting of Continuing Education (be it courses, DVDs, books, webinars, etc.). However, we have guidelines for our CE contributors for the same reasons listed above. 

Any information on CE, whether it is information about a course, dates for a course, new instructors for a program, DVDs, Webinars, Books, changes in the program, announcements of exciting new content, etc….can ONLY be posted in the CE group by Dental Success Network or by the group Moderator with DSN’s approval (and in the signature area). None of these posts should be anywhere else in the Workplace. To help keep members informed and aware of upcoming CE events, posts for CE announcements are permitted upon approval by Dental Success Network. The limitations are that there can be only one post or announcement for any CE event. Dental Success Network will share approved posts inside the Live and Online CE announcements group.

We appreciate participation from all dental professionals in DSN’s workplace. When one’s post is informative, tactical, and positive. Below are additional guidelines that all of us need to follow to make the workplace a safe place to collaborate, inspire, and enjoy. Members or Faculty who violate these guidelines post will be removed immediately or can result in termination of said membership. 

Workplace Etiquette Guidelines: 

1. No personal attacks, threats or name-calling on the board and in sending private messages and emails. 
2. No posting of sexually explicit images or offensive material in avatars, user titles or in signatures. Including URL’s that link to inappropriate sites. 
3. Please post in the appropriate groups. Moderators will possibly move your thread or post to the proper forum. 
4. Try not to post multiple threads on the same topic. 
5. Stay on topic. Don’t hijack a thread by changing the topic of the thread. If this does happen, the post can be deleted. 
6. When you copy and paste news articles or things from other websites, please post the URL, this brings credibility to your post. 
7. Don’t be a troll. Trolls’ posts or comments will be deleted. To help keep DSN a troll-free group, please report all negative or attacking posts to the group Moderator by clicking “ Report Post.” 8. No baiting posts. Posts made for the sole purpose of eliciting anger in another member or group of members on a thread is against the rules and will be edited or deleted. 
8. No shouting. Posting in all capital letters is considered shouting. 
9. Please don’t argue with the administrators and moderators. Calling them out on the open boards will result in deletion. Please do not question their actions or motives with a post.. If you disagree with an action taken, contact the administration by PM or Email. 
10. Sending abusive PMs and/or emails to the administrators or moderators can lead to membership terminations and banning. If a member continues to violate the Terms of Use for Dental Success Network and Board Etiquette, that person will be banned. Members’ privacy and confidentiality will not be privy to those who do not concern you. 

We want to thank all our members for their continued support and contributions to our communities. Many of you have spent countless hours contributing and giving helpful information to our members daily, which is very much appreciated. These rules and guidelines have been established in the best interest of all members of Dental Success Network.
